We understand that most concrete is sealed after it is poured and cured. The sealer on the surface acts as a barrier which in turn affects the bonding process of most coatings. Resinate Flooring has three methods for solving this problem. One is the use of an acid wash which gently opens the surface. The second is to use chemicals specially designed for the contaminate or coating. And finally, for the removal of the toughest sealers and other coatings, we use a diamond grinding method. Through the grinding process, the concrete is completely resurfaced and becomes a superior median for coatings. Diamond grinding, however, is not always needed and is determined by the condition, age and existing coatings of the concrete. ![]() |
